Part two of our interview with Christopher Tipton of Upset The Rhythm. In this part Chris discusses the first Upset The Rhythm release and what’s in store for the upcoming 15th Anniversary Tour.
Upset The Rhythm is a living legendary UK DIY label and events organizer. With a catalogue of 137 releases (and growing) Chris Tipton’s label has proved to be a launching pad for artists such as John Dwyer (Oh Sees), Future Islands, Terry and many more. You can never go wrong with a UTR gig either. Always at the cutting edge, the line-ups are never dull. You know the sign of a good promoter when the bands stay loyal to them. After all, Upset The Rhythm have been Deerhoof’s go to promoter since playing the first UTR show, way back in 2003.
