We caught up with Dry Cleaning (sadly minus Tom) for an interview ahead of the release of their new EP ‘Sweet Princess’ (out 16th August). We discussed how they formed, their influences, artists they recommend, their lyrics and more.
Dry Cleaning are a Post Punk band from London. Their taut, exciting sound revels in repetition. The lyrics are a collage of overheard conversations, newspaper clippings, non-sequiturs and random thoughts. These frequently poke their heads out to laugh out loud effect. The combination makes for an intense yet often hilarious cocktail. Since the fabulous debut EP ‘Sweet Princess’ they’ve grown into themselves and their sound has expanded. A band to obsess over.
